Beschreibung:The Cinema Club is a weekly gathering of students and lecturers interested in film, cinema, television, and all things media. We want to encourage a lively discussion of English language media and invite all students to participate. All movies are shown in English without subtitles.
In the Cinema Club, you may attain 2 credit points for the module ANG-SK3 (4 Schritte+). In order to do so, you will have to...
... participate in 80% of the screenings (i.e. miss a maximum of three sessions),
... participate in weekly online discussions of all the films.
These discussions are meant to improve your writing/written discussion skills, rhetoric, and develop a film-specific vocabulary and register. You may write short reviews, focus on one specific aspect of the film that you enjoyed or felt lacking, or whatever it is that interests you - the choice is yours, but whatever you write, it should be more than just a couple of sentences every week!
