IELP II is one of the two compulsory courses needed to pass the B3 module (together with IELP I). IELP II class sessions are devoted to explaining and practicing specific areas of grammar and to acquiring sound vocabulary learning habits. The aim is to enable students to make conscious use of lexico-grammatical rules in their own active language use. Further aims of the course include mistakes correction skills and preparing students for the Achievement Test, which will be held in July and which must be passed in order to complete the B3 module and progress into the V4 (AELP) module.

Sessions are divided into roughly two sections of approximately 45 minutes each. The first 45 minutes will be devoted to student-led explanations of the grammar topics, including targeted exercises to consolidate the knowledge gained. (e.g. through gap-filling). In order to accomplish this, each student is required to become part of a working group which will create and carry out one student-led class session. The second 45 minutes will enable students to ask questions about the online vocabulary and mistakes correction tasks they will have completed at home in advance of the sessions, as well as to transfer their newly learned skills to more complex tasks, such as writing, translation and mistakes correction.
