Beschreibung: This course is intended as a research-oriented seminar in which we develop a number of grammar fragments of Old and Middle English from a constructional perspective. After a brief introduction to the principles and methods of Construction Grammar, students will work independently on their individual grammar fragments. Previous knowledge of Old and Middle English ist not a prerequisite, but an advantage. Solid school grammar knowledge and a willingness to develop an independent research project is a must.
