Beschreibung: In this course, we will review the basic ideas and concepts from English grammar, ranging from word classes through phrases to sentential patterns.
Additionally, we will also attempt to perspectivise these from the viewpoint of different grammatical theories, including Construction Grammar, Generative Grammar and Cognitive Grammar.

NOTE: This course is designed as a 4 credit point option in the V2 module. There will be a final written test to obtain 4 LP. If you only wish to acquire 2 LP please take the lecture course on Language Variation and Change. You may also take this course for 4 LP in the freier Wahlbereich, but this means
you also have to pass the final written test.
