Beschreibung: Being able to present your research concisely and effectively is a key to success in your course of study and research career. In this two-day workshop, we will cover various aspects relevant to a successful academic presentation in English. Through a combination of input, discussion and practice, we will cover the following topics:
- planning a well-structured presentation
- guiding your audience through the presentation using signposting language
- using the English language to stress and emphasize important points
- involving your audience and responding to audience input
- controlling the pace and volume of your speech
- dealing with nervousness
