Survey Course: Literature and Culture of English-Speaking Countries

Beschreibung: This lecture course is reserved for those third-semester BA students who intended to take part in this course last semester, and who prepare for the Modulabschlussklausur (B1). It intends to offer a historical survey of literatures and cultures in the English-speaking world and to provide an introduction to interpreting texts from a historical point of view. Texts to be discussed will cover the time from the 16th century to the present, as well as Britain, Ireland, the U. S., India and Canada.
