Beschreibung: Dozentin der Lehrveranstaltung, welche für das Masterprogramm angeboten wird, ist Annette Becker, Universität Wuppertal. Sie wird für folgende Module geöffnet: ANG-L1, ANG-GHR-2, ANG-D2. Die Veranstaltung findet in drei Blockterminen im Sommersemester 2019 statt.
Es besteht Anwesenheitspflicht: Die Veranstaltung setzt in ihrer Konzeption den intensiven Dialog zwischen Studierenden und Lehrenden voraus. Deshalb wird die regelmäßige Anwesenheit eingefordert.
Course participants will learn to explore selected English children’s literature from a linguistic perspective, using mainly tools from stylistics and corpus lingustics. On the basis of these observations, students will develop teaching material for improving primary pupils’ L2 reading competence (details to be announced).
Course requirements
1. Active participation.
2. Being an expert for one English children’s book and sharing its linguistic analysis and corresponding teaching suggestions with the course (presentation including handout with references).
