ALP: Speaking
DozentIn: Liana Paznikova
Veranstaltungstyp: Seminar
Ort: 41/B10
Zeiten: Di. 12:00 - 14:00 (wöchentlich)
Beschreibung: ALP: Speaking is one of the two components of the ALP Module (the other being ALP: Writing). Students are required to take each ALP component during their first year of studies. While you will initially only be allocated to one ALP class (either Writing or Speaking), you may theoretically take two courses in one semester if you have a good reason to do so. If you believe that you need to take both ALP classes in one semester, please feel free to contact the instructor of the course you wish to enroll in directly. Such hardship cases will be decided on a case by case basis.
The ALP: Speaking course will provide students with foundational skills to become proficient speakers of formal, academic English. This course will cover relevant grammar topics, rhetoric and rhetorical techniques, vocabulary building exercises and pronunciation exercises. It will serve to prepare students for the discussion and speaking demands of their future studies.
