Beschreibung: In this seminar we will be taking a linguistic approach to literature and literary phenomena. We will be analysing a cross-section of different forms of literature, ranging from prose to poetry, and pay attention to how linguistic features enable and/or enhance our readings and interpretations of literary texts.
Students are expected to have a basic understanding of linguistics and are required to participate actively in class (which includes preparing the assigned readings).
This seminar is designed for 4LP students only. Students who need to complete 2LP for the V2 module may register for the lecture "Language Variation and Change". Only under certain circumstances, such as a particular interest in the topic or a provable scheduling conflict, you may approach me about completing this class for 2LP.
