Beschreibung: This course examines this extraordinary transitional decade from three perspectives: politics, art and the theatre. We will listen to presentations providing us with background knowledge in these three areas which cover the Bosnia trope, the Young British Artists (YBAs) of the time, the beginnings of globalisation, "In-Yer-Face" theatre, the National Lottery and sports, and much more. Students are required to make a presentation and lead a discussion and write a research paper upon conclusion of the course (2500 words).
