Beschreibung: In an era where Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping the educational landscape, the question is not whether or not we should embrace AI, but how we can use it responsibly and effectively in our academic pursuits. This two-day workshop aims to explore the functionalities, benefits, and limitations of AI tools for text generation and enhancement within the context of literary and cultural studies.
As we navigate through the complexities of AI, participants will develop a better understanding of how these tools operate and the implications of their use in academic writing and research. We will engage in critical discussions about the role of AI in facilitating more effective research-based writing, while also assessing its potential drawbacks, such as the risks to academic integrity and the importance of maintaining credibility and trust in scholarly work.
Through hands-on exploration and evaluation of various AI tools, we will collaboratively discuss and develop potential 'best practice' scenarios for their use in academic contexts. Participants will learn to identify and utilize effective solutions for supporting the production of original contributions to academic writing contexts, while being equipped to recognize and address the ethical considerations involved. By the end of this workshop, students will not only have a solid grasp of AI technologies but also a critical awareness about how to integrate specific tools into their research and writing processes ethically and responsibly.
