Beschreibung: Are you navigating new cultural landscapes and wondering where - and how - you belong?
This seminar is created especially for international students and offers a welcoming space to explore the big questions around identity, migration, power, and belonging - both in Germany and across the globe.

Together, we’ll go far beyond textbooks. Using different media like TEDx Talks or documentaries and interactive activities, we’ll dive into real-world issues and amplify each other’s voices.
Your personal experiences, perspectives, and questions are not just welcome - they’re essential.

This is a space where diversity is strength and every contribution matters. Through open discussions and shared reflection, we’ll challenge stereotypes, explore cultural power structures, and rethink what it means to belong in today’s interconnected world.

Topics We’ll Explore:

📌 Belonging & Exclusion
Who gets to belong—and who doesn’t?

📌 Stereotypes & Racism
How do single stories shape identity?

📌 Power & Migration
How do power structures impact movement and belonging?
→ (incl. Palestine/Israel reflections)

📌 Gendered Forced Migration
How does gender shape refugee experiences?

📌 Self-Reflection
How do we unlearn bias and rethink our roles and responsibilities?

📌 Social Responsibility
How can we foster inclusion and solidarity?
