DozentIn: Anna-Julia Toll , Simon Ritz

Veranstaltungstyp: Seminar

Ort: 02/E03

Zeiten: Mi. 14:00 - 16:00 (wöchentlich), Termine am Mittwoch, 05.11.2025 16:00 - 20:00

Beschreibung: Civil society is an important cornerstone of democracy and at the same time offers diverse and low-threshold opportunities to actively shape it. The seminar provides an overview of the functioning, framework conditions and actors of German and Osnabrück civil society. Students get to know various local organisations and educational associations (e.g. Meine Bildung und Ich e. V., Exil e. V., VPAK) and develop their own practical projects, which they implement in organisations of their choice in consultation with them. They learn the basics of project and event management as well as the conception of educational programmes. The projects can be, for example, meeting programmes, cultural events or workshops. During the practical phase, students also investigate a research question of their own choice, tailored to their practical organisation. Finally, they present the experience they have gained from the practical projects.

Objectives:
• Students understand the functioning and framework conditions of civil society in Germany and are familiar with its key players and areas.
• Students have learnt in practice how civil society events, projects and educational programmes are developed, planned, implemented and evaluated.
• Students have established contacts with local civil society organisations.
