Beschreibung:The Course gives an introduction to the rising field of ultrafast physics. It is the basis to participate the main module 'ultrafast physics' in the summer semester and to participate in the 'practicum ultrafast physics'. the basics for describing ultrashort laser pulses is given as well as the variety of features going along with the interaction of sub-Picosecond laser pulses with matter. Nonlinear optics, laser pulse shaping and applications are touched, as well.
